Timothy J. Smalley of Las Vegas, Nevada has been selected as the Hamilton Relay 2018 Deaf Community Leader Award recipient for the state of Nevada. According to his peers, Tim is the type of person who sees a need and gets involved to help.
Tim serves on the board of directors as vice president for the Deaf Centers of Nevada and is the chairperson of Camp SignShine. As part of his volunteer work with Camp SignShine, he helped organize fundraising event, went to schools and organizations to talk about the camp, organized transportation and worked at the camp.
In addition to his volunteerism, Tim is a strong advocate for the Deaf Community. He spends a lot of his free time working to enhance the lives of those in his community, particularly children and seniors who are deaf.
We commend Tim for his kindness and enthusiasm and are proud to present him with the Hamilton Relay 2018 Deaf Community Leader Award for the state of Nevada.
