Today the Federal Communications Commission put on its website a Consumer Advisory explaining the ten-digit numbering and emergency call requirements for Video Relay Service (VRS) and IP Relay, forms of telecommunications relay service (TRS), adopted by the Commission in the June 24, 2008, and December 19, 2008 numbering orders (FCC-08-151, and FCC 08-275).
This document is primarily for consumers that explains how the numbering and 911 call handling will occur with VRS and IP Relay, as well as additional rules that will affect consumers. To download the document, click here.
