In May, 2012, Hamilton Relay awarded 16 students with scholarships to continue their education after graduation.

Each of the following recent high school graduates were awarded a $500 Hamilton Scholarship after completing an application and writing a qualifying essay about communication services:

- Malinda Rae Jorgensen from Des Moines, Iowa, recent graduate of Grandview Park Baptist
