Nancy Perry selected for Hamilton Relay 2018 Deaf Community Leader Award for the State of Kentucky

Nancy Perry, of Franklin, KY, has been selected to receive Hamilton Relay’s 2018 Deaf Community Leader Award for the state of Kentucky.

A celebrated advocate, Perry has received acclaim for her consistent and proactive efforts for the deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind in her community and across the state.  Her activity in the deaf community includes decades of service highlighted by her role as the current Vice President of the Kentucky Association of the Deaf and teaching American Sign Language (ASL) at Bowling Green Community College for over 10 years

In addition to the aforementioned, her other community outreach efforts on behalf of the state’s deaf or hard of hearing include, but are not limited to, the following:  active board member on Kentucky’s Commission on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, the Regional Resource Center of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (RRCDHH), and the Kentucky Baptist Conference of the Deaf as well as demonstrating her leadership on the Statewide Independence Living Council (SILC)

She is set to be presented the Hamilton Relay Deaf Community Leader award on November 8th.  This leadership recognition has been brought to you by Hamilton Relay.
