Kathy Buckley selected for Hamilton Relay 2016 Better Hearing and Speech Month Recognition Award for the State of California

Kathy Buckley of Glendale, California has been selected as the Hamilton Relay 2016 Better Hearing and Speech Month Recognition Award recipient for the state of California. Kathy’s peers describe her as a tireless advocate who works to raise awareness about hearing loss.

Kathy has been actively involved with No Limits for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children for 18 years. She has served as a spokesperson, board member and fundraiser for the organization. Kathy has helped raise money and spent countless hours supporting the No Limits Education Center as well as the National Theater Program.

According to her nominators, Kathy’s kindness and generosity has given many individuals, both children and adults, a new perspective on how to live well with hearing loss. She has turned her personal experiences into public lessons through her comedy, motivational speaking and writing.

We commend Kathy for her leadership and perseverance and are proud to present her with the Hamilton Relay 2016 Better Hearing and Speech Month Recognition Award for the state of California.
