Jeff Richards of Great Falls, Montana has been selected as the recipient of the Hamilton Relay 2015 Deaf Community Leader Award for the state of Montana. Jeff is described by his peers as a reliable, hardworking and valued leader of the Deaf community.
Jeff is a leader and active member of the Deaf community and has been a member of the Montana Association of the Deaf for the past 26 years. His leadership has benefited the organization through his role as treasurer for the Great Falls Club of the Deaf (GFCD) for eight of the nine years he has been a member. Jeff also plays an instrumental role in planning and managing the various fundraisers and activities held by GFCD.
In addition, Jeff is actively involved with the Northwest Bowling Association of the Deaf (NWBAD), and serves as chair for the 2015 Tourney, as well as plans the “No Tap” Bowling Tourney and Potluck. Jeff has also held different roles with the Big Sky Recreation Association of the Deaf (BSRAD) and has been treasurer for the past six years and chairperson for their annual campout for the past five years.
