Hamilton CapTel® Announces Distribution Agreement with Hal-Hen Company, Inc.

April, 14 2010

Agreement Expands the Number of Hearing Health Care Providers Able to Recommend CapTel® Service in Their Offices.

Today, at the annual American Academy of Audiologists AudiologyNOW! conference, Hamilton CapTel announced a distribution partnership with Hal-Hen Company, Inc. Historically, patients have looked to their Hearing Health Care Provider to resolve their difficulties hearing on the telephone. As a result of this new relationship, Hearing Health Care Providers affiliated with Hal-Hen are able to extend the benefits of Hamilton CapTel directly to their patients.

"Hamilton CapTel allows individuals with hearing loss to read captions of what the other party says along with listening to what's said during telephone conversations," said Frank Endres, business development manager for Hamilton CapTel. "Through advanced voice-recognition technology, specially trained operators re-voice everything the other party says. The re-voiced words are then converted to captions that are transmitted to the captioned telephone. This allows the Hamilton CapTel user to effectively communicate with the outside party."

Established in 1946, Hal-Hen has continued to build a global network of more than 11,000 audiologists and hearing health care professionals around the world. "Our customers continually look to us for innovative new products that benefit both their patients and their business," stated Steve Goldberg, technical support specialist for Hal-Hen. "Hamilton CapTel is a valuable addition to our product line."

"As we inform our Hearing Health Care Providers about the benefits of CapTel service, many express to us the critical need this product fills for their patients," said Joe Vespe, Hal-Hen's director of operations.

"We are pleased to expand our reach through this strategic alliance with the Hal-Hen Company by offering our solutions through their network," stated John Nelson, president of Hamilton CapTel. "Hamilton is committed to providing workable, reliable telecom solutions for those with hearing challenges. We believe our alliance with Hal-Hen offers a tremendous opportunity to provide CapTel service to people across the country – and to educate hearing health care providers on the appropriate role of CapTel for their patients."
