Hamilton Relay, telecommunications relay service provider for the state of Idaho, has awarded a $500 college scholarship to Jeremy Hegman, a student of Twin Falls High School, Twin Falls, Idaho.
The Hamilton Relay Scholarship opportunity is offered to high school seniors who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or have difficulty speaking. A recipient is selected within each of the states where Hamilton is the contracted relay service provider and is one of several ways the company gives back to the communities they serve.
"Hamilton takes pride in promoting education and outstanding leadership across the country," said Idaho's Outreach Coordinator, Russell Patterson. "We are excited to have the opportunity to contribute to furthering Jeremy Hegman's education and wish him success in reaching his personal and professional goals."
Jeremy Hegman was awarded the $500 Hamilton Scholarship after completing an application and writing an essay under the topic of communication technology. Jeremy plans to begin his college education with general studies at the College of Southern Idaho, then go on to obtain a degree in Mass Communications at Idaho State University.
