Hamilton Relay, the Captioned Telephone Relay Service provider for the state of Pennsylvania, has awarded a $500 college scholarship to Casey Green, a student of Tri-Valley Junior-Senior High School from Ashland, Pennsylvania.
The Hamilton Relay Scholarship opportunity is offered to high school seniors who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or have difficulty speaking. A recipient is selected within each of the states where Hamilton is a contracted service provider and is one of several ways the company gives back to the communities they serve.
"Hamilton takes pride in promoting education and outstanding leadership across the country," said Pennsylvania Outreach Coordinator, Lauren Cramer. "We are excited to have the opportunity to contribute to furthering Casey's education and wish her success in reaching her personal and professional goals."
Casey Green was awarded the $500 Hamilton Scholarship after completing an application and writing an essay under the topic of communication technology. Casey plans to attend Alvernia University this Fall to study in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science.
