Hamilton Relay, telecommunications relay service provider for the State of New Mexico, has awarded a $500 college scholarship to Nolan Riley, a recent graduate of V. Sue Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
The Hamilton Relay Scholarship opportunity is offered to high school seniors who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or have difficulty speaking. A recipient is selected within each of the states where Hamilton is a contracted relay service provider and is one of several ways the company gives back to the communities they serve.
"Hamilton takes pride in promoting education and outstanding leadership across the country," said John Fechter, National Outreach Manager for Hamilton Relay. "We are excited to have the opportunity to contribute to furthering Nolan's education and wish him success in reaching his personal and professional goals."
Nolan was awarded the $500 Hamilton Relay Scholarship after completing an application and writing an essay under the topic of communication technology. Nolan plans to continue his education at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque to study in the emergency medical field.
