May, 01 2012

Hamilton Relay, Telecommunications Relay and Captioned Telephone Service provider for the state of New Mexico, has awarded a $500 college scholarship to Amelia-Ann Dickey, a student of Valley High School from Albuquerque, NM.

The Hamilton Relay Scholarship opportunity is available to high school seniors who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or have difficulty speaking. A recipient is selected within each of the states where Hamilton is the contracted service provider and is one of several ways the company gives back to the communities they serve.

"Hamilton takes pride in promoting education and outstanding leadership across the country," said New Mexico Outreach Coordinator, Thomas Sena. "We are excited to have the opportunity to contribute to furthering Amelia-Ann's education and wish her success in reaching her personal and professional goals."

Amelia-Ann Dickey was awarded the $500 Hamilton Scholarship after completing an application and writing an essay under the topic of communication technology. Amelia-Ann plans to attend Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell this fall to study nursing.
