Hamilton Relay, captioned telephone service provider for the State of Tennessee, has awarded a $500 college scholarship to Chelsea Klytta of Mount Juliet High School in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.
The Hamilton Relay Scholarship opportunity is offered to high school seniors who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or have difficulty speaking. A recipient is selected within each of the states where Hamilton is the contracted relay and/or captioned telephone service provider and is one of several ways the company gives back to the communities they serve.
"Hamilton takes pride in promoting education and outstanding leadership across the country," said Tennessee Outreach Coordinator, Carolyn Mathis. "We are excited to have the opportunity to contribute to furthering Chelsea's education and wish her success in reaching her personal and professional goals."
Chelsea Klytta was awarded the $500 Hamilton Scholarship after completing an application and writing an essay under the topic of communication technology. Chelsea plans to attend Volunteer State Community College this fall to study Graphic Design.
