Carole has been committed to supporting individuals with hearing loss throughout the State of Louisiana for many years. Her involvement in the New Orleans Hearing Loss Association (formerly known as Self Help for the Hard of Hearing) and the Lion's Club Hearing and Speech Program have demonstrated her passion in advocating for individuals with hearing loss and creating an environment for positive interaction and better communication.
Throughout her years of service with the New Orleans Hearing Loss Association, Carole served as President, Vice President and Treasurer. In 1998, she was the local Chairperson for planning and opening the International Convention of Self Help for the Hard of Hearing in New Orleans. Through her support of the organization's mission and her ability to make individuals feel welcomed, Carole was instrumental in raising the association's membership during her time there.
Additionally, Carole has been a member of the Lion's Club in New Orleans for nearly 20 years. She served as Chairperson of the organizatoin's Better Speech and Hearing Program, first in just a few districts and eventually expanding to all Lion's Club districts and chapters throughout the state.
Carole has been an outstanding role model and mentor to individuals who experience hearing loss. She's been described by her peers as a caring and devoted leader who is willing to take on any task she encounters.
