Relay Conference Captioning (RCC) offers real-time captioning through the use of Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) service. Thus, allowing individuals with a hearing loss to view text of what’s being said during audio conference calls or virtual meetings. This service provides a clear understanding of what’s being said and allows the individual with hearing loss to participate in audio conference calls or virtual meetings in a more effective manner.
You must be a resident of the state of Maryland to use this service. Request RCC services by completing the RCC Scheduling Request Form below. After submitting the form, you can expect an email confirmation within one business day indicating that your request was received. Maryland Accessible Telecommunications still has a financial responsibility for events not cancelled within one full business day of the scheduled request. Failure to cancel could potentially result in suspension of RCC privileges for the participant.
