Hamilton Relay, telecommunications relay service provider for the state of Utah, has awarded a $500 college scholarship to BreAna Stokes, a student of Skyline High School from Kearns, Utah.
The Hamilton Relay Scholarship opportunity is offered to high school seniors who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind or have difficulty speaking. A recipient is selected within each of the states where Hamilton is the contracted relay service provider and is one of several ways the company gives back to the communities they serve.
"Hamilton takes pride in promoting education and outstanding leadership across the country," said Utah Outreach Coordinator, Emily Simmonds. "We are excited to have the opportunity to contribute to furthering BreAna's education and wish her success in reaching her personal and professional goals."
BreAna Stokes was awarded the $500 Hamilton Scholarship after completing an application and writing an essay under the topic of communication technology. BreAna plans to attend Utah Valley University this Fall to study Fine Arts.
