Hamilton Relay Seeks Nominations for 2011 Deaf Community Leader Award

Each year during Deaf Awareness Week, Hamilton Relay recognizes community leaders who are deaf or deaf-blind in each of the states where we are the contracted relay and/or captioned telephone service provider. This includes Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, and Washington D.C.

We are looking for individuals who are deaf or deaf-blind and have been a strong influence within their community and/or state, and are committed to enhancing the lives of those around them. This year's award will be presented during Deaf Awareness Week which takes place September 18 – 24, 2011. Award recipients will be announced on the Hamilton Relay corporate website, featured on the Hamilton Relay Facebook page, and honored at a ceremony put on by their State Outreach Coordinator.

To nominate someone in your community, download and complete our brief questionnaire so that we can learn more about their accomplishments.
