Karla Churchill selected for Hamilton Relay 2015 Better Hearing and Speech Month Recognition Award for the State of Idaho

Karla Churchill of Boise has been selected as the Hamilton Relay 2015 Better Hearing and Speech Month Recognition Award recipient for the state of Idaho. She is a dynamic and active volunteer in the community. Karla suffered a stroke several years ago and has used her own experiences to support and advocate for stroke survivors.

Karla is involved with many organizations in the Boise area that provide support and encouragement to stroke survivors, including Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and St. Luke’s Medical Center. She currently speaks at public engagements on behalf of the American Stroke Association. In addition to supporting stroke survivors, Karla uses her nursing background to volunteer as a triage nurse at Vineyard Medical Clinic. Karla also finds time to volunteer at the Humane Society.

We commend Karla for her dedication to providing support and inspiration to stroke survivors, their families and caregivers and are proud to present her with the Hamilton Relay 2015 Better Hearing and Speech Month Recognition Award for the state of Idaho.
