Janette Lancaster selected for Hamilton Relay 2017 Deaf Community Leader Award for the State of Idaho

Janette Lancaster of Twin Falls, Idaho has been selected as the Hamilton Relay Deaf Community Leader Award recipient for the state of Idaho. Janette is very dedicated to the Deaf community and has a strong sense of Idaho’s Deaf history.

As a member of the Idaho Association of the Deaf for over 30 years, Janette has played an important role in many projects serving individuals who are deaf. Her long list of involvement also includes leading Magic Valley Deaf Pride Night events, serving on board of Idaho Athletic Club of the Deaf, serving on advisory boards for St Luke’s Hospital in Twin Falls and the College of Southern Idaho ASL program, and assisting the Miss Deaf Idaho and Deaf Ambassadors of Idaho programs in their mission to empower young Deaf people.

We commend Janette for her leadership in the community and are proud to present her with the Hamilton Relya Deaf Community Leader Award for the state of Idaho.
