Stefanie Saltern and Sarah Frasier are committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals in the Deaf community in Idaho. Both invest their time and talents toward bringing the Deaf community together.
Stefanie Saltern is currently the secretary for the Idaho Association of the Deaf. She is also chairperson of Walk4ASL, a fundraiser to educate Idaho communities about the benefits of ASL for children who are deaf as well as to fund additional ASL services and programs, such as Deaf mentors for children who are deaf. In addition, Stefanie served as the president of the Idaho chapter of American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA) from 2011 to 2013.
Stefanie is recognized by her peers for her relentless dedication to her community. She diligently volunteers her time to coordinate events for the Deaf community statewide. Stefanie’s passion to make sure opportunities are always available to immerse oneself in Deaf culture and be part of the community has been an inspiration for others.
Sarah Frasier is dedicated to bettering the lives of individuals within the Deaf community in Idaho. As an active member of the Idaho Association of the Deaf, she is currently serving as vice president of Boise Valley Association of the Deaf. She has been instrumental in planning their events for over three years. Sarah also served as officer and event coordinator for Boise Deaf Night Out.
Sarah is described by her peers as selfless and hardworking. She is recognized for always being willing to roll up her sleeves and go above and beyond to reach the best result possible. She is truly dedicated to keeping members of the Deaf community connected.
