Maureen Fradianni selected for Hamilton Relay 2017 Deaf Community Leader Award for the State of Nevada

Maureen Fradianni of Sparks, Nevada has been selected as the Hamilton Relay Deaf Community Leader Award recipient for the state of Nevada. She has contributed as a volunteer by joining different organizations that promote the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities and ensure that their communications needs are being met.

Maureen is currently the commissioner of Nevada Commission for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Speech Impaired and serves of the board of directors for Nevada Hands and Voices. She also participated in the development of the strategic plan through her involvement with the Subcommittee on Communication Services (SOCS) steering committee. She was instrumental in making sure the committee was aware of the needs of the Deaf community.

Maureen has also volunteered her time as a relief counselor for Camp SignShine and a deaf mentor at Hidden Valley School. In the past, she served as the president of the Sierra Chapter of the Nevada Association of the Deaf.

We commend Maureen for her kindness and enthusiasm and are proud to present her with the Hamilton Relay Deaf Community Leader Award for the state of Nevada.
